Debating Update

This term our two debating teams competed in their fourth and final debates as part of the Premier’s Debating Challenge.

The Seahorses (Mia, Lahni, Vali and Hamish) were successful in winning their debate against the Umina Beach Uber on the topic, ‘Teachers should participate in sport with their students’. The Seahorses won three out of the four rounds in the challenge and came second overall in our zone. A great achievement!

The Pelicans (Josh, Jordan, Dylan and Easun) debated Ettalong Public School on the topic, ‘Schools should replace all sport and exercise classes with more classroom time’. Unfortunately despite an amazing effort, they were narrowly defeated.

Congratulations to both teams. You have done our school proud!
