Welcome to Term 2.

Every Monday this term at 9:00am until 12:00pm Speech Pathologist Chloe and her assistant Tatiana from All Areas Speech Pathology run Speech and Language Therapy Sessions for specific children from the Seahorse and Pelican Group. The benefits of these speech and language sessions include detecting communication difficulties as early as possible, starting speech therapy intervention prior to children enrolling into Kindergarten and providing support and education to educators, parents and carers to assist with improving speech, language and early literacy skills. If a child is at need of an alternative way to communicate then the assigned speech pathologists will help that child find the best way to communicate to meet their needs. This could include signs, symbols, gestures and other forms of assisted communication. A reflection about what the children's sessions entailed and how parents/carers can extend this at home is provided from Chloe for our families along with regular contact via phone, email or person.

Guliyali Preschool Woy Woy Public School is excited to announce that we have implemented the Storypark Program. Storypark is a secure, private online space to ensure the children at Guliyali Preschool receive the best support possible and that the families of our preschool are involved and up-to-date with their child's development. Storypark provides each child with an online community that is accessed and controlled only by the educators, parents and other chosen family members of that child. Parents and carers can choose to add their own stories or leave comments and feedback for children and our teaching team. Our parents/carers can also choose to share these stories with family members if they wish to do so. Adding extended family members allows the children to have an authentic audience who are genuinely interested in their learning.

Storypark helps educators, children and families:

create smooth transitions when your child moves from one educator and preschool to another.

Guliyali Preschool team has considered the aspects of cyber safety and we made sure our teaching team have the knowledge and skills to ensure we are cyber safe. Our Storypark program takes security very seriously. It is not open for anyone to read, it is a password-protected private space for our families and educators.
