The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden .
The aim of the Stephanie Alexander Garden foundation is to introduce pleasurable food education into Australian Primary Schools. Woy Woy Public School is lucky to be one of them. The program emphasises the flavours as well as the health benefits of fresh, seasonal food. Dishes cooked reflect the vegetables, herbs & fruits grown by children in organic gardens at school. The program is designed to be fully integrated into the curriculum as it offers opportunities to reinforce literacy, numeracy, science, cultural studies & all aspects of environment sustainability. In addition, the program delivers observable social benefits to all students.
This year we are pleased to release the first edition of our own cookbook, which contains recipes that the students have cooked during lessons over the last two years in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program. These recipes are tried and tested by the students in their cooking classes with Mrs Williamson and would make a lovely Christmas present for everyone.
The recipe book contains 40 of our best recipes which are sure to become family favourites. Please return your order as soon as possible as this is a limited release. Please contact the office for orders.
